The Afternoon Concert
On Wednesday April 8, the Wahconah Band And Chorus performed a show of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely hearts Club Band for Nessacus Middle School in the afternoon. The show was recorded, and those tracks are presented here.
We also recorded our evening performance, but the auditorium was filled to capacity, and there was quite a bit of ambient noise and thunderous applause on the recordings. These recordings represent, in my opinion, the best audio quality of the recordings we made.
The evening show however, has the most energy. The applause and spirit of the audience really moved the band and chorus to perform with an edge. The music was truly alive, and it was wonderful to be a part of it. I will transfer that electrifying performance to CD soon, but it will be available on DVD sooner as Dalton Community Television was there Wednesday night recording from 2 separate cameras.
I'll keep everyone posted as to the scheduled broadcast times. for now, enjoy the live recordings. If you'd like to go back down memory lane, you can listen to some of the dress rehearsals from February. It's easy to see how far we have come, and how we have grown as musicians and as a cohesive group. It was a pleasure putting this project together.
With Pride,
Brian Rabuse
